Hi FRIENDS! 🤗🤗🤗🤗 I’m Jenn Welch! Here is a bit of a back story about me and why I am here! I am a born and raised Washingtonian, a mom of 3, and am married to my wonderful husband and partner of 18 years.

I am by trade, a working Professional Makeup Artist of over 24 years, & Cosmetic Tattoo Artist for 10 years. I love my career and have begun to think about sharing my knowledge of my trade and of my business in this online space. I wanted to start sharing all the things I've gleaned from 10 years on doing eyebrows, especially how I map, shape, place brows in a customized way, AND how I consult with my clients, using Henna Dye, a temporary dye that can potentially stain the skin for several weeks.

I remember my first permanent makeup class, I was taught to FREEHAND brows, there was no such thing as "mapping" as far as I knew, and I had to go through a lot of trial and error to get where I am with mapping and shaping brows today! I used to fuss for AT LEAST AN HOUR mapping people, not understaninding why I couldn't make those brows even, even AFTER learning how to map.... After over 30 additional pmu course certifications since, I can tell you that mapping can be very simple and very complicated all at the same time and there are so many considerations to take into account when customizing someone’s brows. You can’t just give everyone the same exact brow shape, and almost no one is perfectly symmetrical in facial anatomy, so using exact measurements for brow mapping is not conducive.

Since becoming a lot faster at the Mapping process, I have really honed in on more ways that I can book new clients. One client hurdle I come upon often is helping them overcome their problem of having to draw on their brows everyday while trying to help them thru their fear of getting a tattoo... on their face... 😬

With aprehensive clients in mind especially, I began doing Henna Brows on them so that they could try out a brow shape I give them for a couple weeks and see how they like it. Since shape is AURGUABLY THE MOST MAJOR ASPECT of Brow Artistry, I figured out that this is a perfect resolve for attaining the practice needed to perfect this skill, AND simultneously gaining the trust of your cleints!
